(25.05.2011) On 25.05.2011 (Wednesday), the primary municipal school “Marsal Tito” in Strumica has celebrated its Day of the school. The students from the integrated bilingual class have celebrated this holiday in the spirit of cultivating the tradition and culture of both ethnic communities, titled as “The cuisine of our grandmothers”. The students, together with their grandmothers, have prepared traditional Macedonian and Turkish delights: gurabija, ravanija, halva, baklava, langida and all of them have been offered to the present guests. The presence of grandma Tanka Ristova and Azira Memedova, dressed in traditional costumes has also contributed to the pleasant ambiance. In the role of hostesses, they have welcomed the guests with bread and Turkish delight (lokum).
