On October 25, 2018, teachers Daniela Stefanovska and Hatixhe Memeti together with their first grade students carried out the daily activity “Chestnuts” as part of the monthly topic “Autumn fruits” from the Eco Section of the Annual Program for intercultural extracurricular activities.

Students divided into groups used different materials that can be found in nature and school supplies. By combining them, they modelled interesting shapes and were introduced to the differences between living and non-living nature. During the activity, the students cooperated by exchanging tools and materials and helping one another.

The purpose of this activity is to stimulate the children’s creative potential and constructive cooperation, to strengthen the interaction among the children and sense of belonging to the group.
