During May 2019, the school psychologist Svetlana Asprovska Todorovic, together with the second year students, carried out activities on topic “Cultural stereotypes”.

In order to carry out this activity, the students worked in groups. Each group received a sample of cultural icebergs on which were written characteristics visible at first glance for a culture as well as the subtle characteristics that appear after we get to know more representatives of that culture. The students’ task was to write down characteristics of a representative of a certain culture and at the end of the activity each group presented while other students added or posed questions related to the presentation.

The objectives of the activity are: to overcome stereotypes and prejudices, to support constructive communication and cooperation among students from two different ethnic groups, as well as to support self-organization of students during the implementation of joint activities.
