During January and February 2019, teachers Aneta Kazioska and Mirushe Xhaferi, together with students of fifth grade, carried out activities from the month’s topics “Denmark” and “Finland” as part of the Section Education for peace and tolerance of the Annual Program for Intercultural Extracurricular Activities.
During these activities, students had the opportunity to learn more about the capitals, language, costumes and state symbols and respective characteristics of Denmark and Finland. Separated into groups, students created different crafts related to the daily topics by collaborating with each other.
The aim of these activities are: to support constructive communication and cooperation between students and teachers from two different ethnic groups, deepen students’ pre-knowledge on cultural features and specificities of different countries in several European regions, as well as acquaintance of students with state symbols of a part of the countries of the European continent.
