On March 22, 2012 the OSCE High Commissioner for Minority rights Mr. Knut Vollebaek met with NDC Skopje staff and a group of parents from the schools that apply the Nansen model for integrated education.

The meeting took place at the Holiday Inn conference room in Skopje.

The purpose of the meeting was to hear the parents’ assessments on the latest political situation in Macedonia regarding the incidents that occurred amongst the students and the interethnic tensions in multiethnic municipalities. In addition the parents shared their experience and perspectives regarding the benefits of the schools that apply the Nansen model for integrated education and also the challenges that the educational system in Macedonia faces.
