During January 2019, teachers Vesna Stojanova and Afredita Sali together with their students carried the daily activity “Kolede-lede” as part of the monthly topic “Holidays” from the Section Get to know Macedonia of the Annual Program for Intercultural Extracurricular Activities.

The teachers with their students discussed about the holiday Christmas Eve, explaining that Christmas Eve is called the day before Christmas, according to the Orthodox Christian tradition. The students actively participated in the activities, cooperated while making holiday bags. They also learned and sung the Kolede-Lede song.

The aims of the activity are to develop a tolerant and cosmopolitan view and spirit of diversity from a linguistic, ethnic, religious character and enriching the active vocabulary of students with multiple cultural and social phrases common for different occasions or holidays.
