On November 21, 2014, at the premises of the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, the participants from Group 5, 6 and 7 enrolled within the NDC Skopje Training Centre Program attended the lecture prepared by Ms. Paula Mcllwaine from the Integrated Education Fund, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The participants had the opportunity to learn more about the integrated education movement in N. Ireland and internationally as well as to get detailed information about the Anti- bias training program for teachers. The lecture was followed with a great interest by the participants who actively participated in the discussion sessions. Ms. Paula Mcllwaine is part of the team of international expert trainers within the NDC Skopje Training Centre.

On November 22, 2014, the Training Centre participants from Group 3, 4 and 5 attended the lecture prepared by prof. Zvi Bekerman, Ph.D. Professor Bekerman teaches anthropology of education at the School of Education and The Melton Center, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also a faculty member at the the Mandel Leadership Institute. His main interests are in the study of cultural, ethnic and national identity, including identity processes and negotiation during intercultural encounters and in formal/informal learning contexts. In brief, his interests lie in human learning processes, their development, and practice, both in formal/informal and real/virtual environments; processes which, from the socio-historical perspectives within which he has been raised and which he ever learns, comprise a large portion of human activity.

The lecture was organized as part of the advanced level training program for integrated education. The participants had the opportunity to learn more about the topics “Intercultural dialogue in formal and non- formal learning contexts” and “Integrated and intercultural education as a global trend and tendency”. The lecture was followed with a great interest by the participants who had the opportunity to reflect on many questions raised during the lecture sessions.

After the lecture, the participants from Group 3, 4 and 5 were awarded certificates for successful completion of the basic level training for integrated education.
