On February 23-24, 2012, NDC Skopje hosted a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Ms. Bernadeta Galijasevic- Minister of Education, science and culture from the Zenica – Doboj canton. The delegation included pedagogues, school managers, professors, NGO representatives, teachers, parents and students from Zenica and Municipality of Varosh. The aim of the visit was getting acquainted with the “Nansen model for integrated education” of NDC Skopje and part of the education institutions in Macedonia. The visit was organized by the NGO Save the Children Norway, who initiated this visit.

The delegation visited the primary and secondary schools that implement the Nansen model for integrated education in the municipality of Jegunovce .The delegation met with the primary and secondary school management, teachers and parent’s council representatives. In addition, the delegation was also hosted by the municipal authorities in the Municipality of Jegunovce, the Teacher Training Faculty and the Bureau for Development of Education where a lot of information was exchanged related to the education system and the reforms that are being undertaken.

This visit was of great importance in establishing new means of cooperation between the delegation representatives and the organizations and institutions that were visited in Macedonia.
