On April 13, 2017 NDC Skopje represented by the Manager of the Training Centre, Ms. Biljana Krsteska- Papic participated on the expert discussion conference titled “Multilingual education in the OSCE region: experiences and perspectives for Ukraine” organized by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities in partnership with the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. The conference was held in Kiev, and brought together government officials, representatives of educational institutions, academics and educators.

The conference participants were welcomed and addressed by the Minister for education and science of Ukraine, Ms. Liliya Grynevych and the Political Adviser within the Office of the OSCE Commissioner on National Minorities, Mr. Zahid Movlazada.

During the expert discussion, Ms. Biljana Krsteska- Papic presented the Nansen model for integrated education, highlighting the benefits from its implementation in post-conflict and segregated societies. It was highlighted that the Nansen model for integrated education was proven to be effective in bringing closer the students, teachers and parents from diverse backgrounds.
