In the period June 17-20, 2013 part of the NDC Skopje team led by the Executive Director Mr. Sasho Stojkovski attended a working visit to Turkey in order to present the work and achievements of NDC Skopje in the field of integrated education with the aim of establishing and strengthening the partnership relations with the relevant Turkish institutions and organizations.

On June 17, 2013 the NDC Skopje Executive Director Mr. Sasho Stojkovski and part of the team consisted of Ms. Sonaj Bilal and Mr.Osman Emin- Coordinators for education within NDC Skopje visited Istanbul where they had a meeting at the Teachers Academy Foundation where they met with the Director of the foundation Mr. Kayhan Karlı and the General Coordinator Ms. Esra Onat Akbaş.
The purpose of this meeting was the exchange of information and experience regarding the work NDC Skopje and the Teachers Academy Foundation in the area of Teacher training in Macedonia and Turkey respectively.

The common points that were discussed will serve as a basis for further cooperation between the two organizations.

The next day, on June 18, 2013 the NDC Skopje representatives had the opportunity to meet with the Head of the Department of Education of the City of Istanbul Dr. Muammer Yıldız and present the work of NDC Skopje in the field of integrated education. After sharing information on the Nansen Model for Integrated education and the activities in the Training Centre, the development of the future cooperation between NDC Skopje and the institution was discussed.

On June 19, 2013 NDC Skopje representatives met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Municipality of Bursa Mr. Necmettin Şenocak. The Deputy Secretary General expressed his positive thoughts on the Nansen Model for Integrated Education and discussed openly the possibility for future cooperation.

On the last day of the working visit, on June 20, 2013 NDC Skopje representatives met with Mr. Hüseyin Çardak – Coordinator for the Balkans and Ms. Ceren Erdal – Coordinator for the Republic of Macedonia within the Presidency for Turks and Related Communities, in Ankara, Turkey. During the meeting, the work of NDC Skopje in the field of integrated education was discussed in detail and the coordinators from the Presidency for Turks and Related Communities who have visited Macedonia before, expressed their wish to visit the NDC Skopje office, the Training Centre and the schools that apply the Nansen Model for Integrated Education, in the near future, as well as further the cooperation between the organizations through joint projects. A meeting with the Yunus Emre Institution i.e. with the

Coordinator for Development of Strategies Mr. Murat Fatsa was also carried out the same day in Ankara, Turkey. Mr. Fatsa expressed his interest in the work of NDC Skopje and his wish to visit the schools that implement the Nansen Model for Integrated education in order to get more closely acquainted with the model. He also expressed the willingness of the Institution to continue and deepen the cooperation with NDC Skopje.

The working visit to Turkey was an excellent opportunity for NDC Skopje to promote the scope of work and the activities implemented in Macedonia and get more closely acquainted with the Turkish institutions that were willing to establish collaborative relations with NDC Skopje in the near future.

Until the month of October, 2013, NDC Skopje is expecting reciprocal visits from Turkish delegations that will be visiting the schools that apply the Nansen model for integrated education and the Training Centre within NDC Skopje.
