In the period November 18-22, 2013, NDC Skopje Executive Director Sasho Stojkovski together with the Manager for education, training and development Biljana Krsteska Papic and Coordinator for education, training and development Sonaj Bilal participated in the study visit program in Belfast organized and hosted by the Northern Ireland Council for integrated education. Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje and the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education have established excellent collaborative relations which provide a platform for exchange of experience and resources in the field of integrated education.

The purpose of the visit was professional development of NDC Skopje staff for the needs of the Training Centre- Nansen model for integrated education as well as exchange of experience and expertise related to the integrated schools.

During the visit, NDC Skopje representatives visited the following integrated schools: Crumlin Integrated Primary School, Malone Integrated College, Hazelwood Integrated College, Lagan Integrated College, Rowandale Integrated Primary School and Oakwood Integrated Primary School. This was an excellent opportunity to get more closely acquainted with the integrated education policies and practices that are implemented within the integrated schools.

NDC Skopje representatives also attended two training programs organized by NICIE, one on Peer Mediation and the second on Anti-Bias Training.

The training programs will be a great asset for the NDC Skopje Training Centre and are an excellent source of knowledge that can be applied during the training of teachers in Macedonia.

Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje thanks all the schools for the hospitality and the wonderful arrangements. A special gratitude to our partners NICIE Belfast for the wonderfully organized study visit and the enjoyable time!
