On January 22nd, 2015 in the premises of EU Info Centre in Skopje the official promotion of the Foundation for Integrated Education was held.
The Foundation for Integrated Education (FIE) is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit Association of citizens dedicated to provide support for education through providing and developing resources that will initiate educational innovations, promote and recognize ideal solutions and opportunities that will successfully answer the needs of the students, teachers, school and the community.
The mission of the Foundation for Integrated Education is to provide equal access to quality education to all students regardless of their religious, language or ethnic background by promoting the values of democracy, peace, mutual understanding, dialogue, tolerance and cooperation.
The goal of the Foundation for Integrated Education is to support the implementation of the Nansen Model for Integrated Education in the primary and secondary schools in Macedonia by enabling and assisting the schools in the process of transformation towards an integrated school according to the Nansen Model for Integrated Education.
During the promotion of the Foundation for Integrated Education the members of the Management Board of the Foundation were presented: Mr. John Horekens, Ms. Talat Azad, Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, Mr. Knut Vollebaek, Ms. Simone Filippini, Mr. Sasho Stojkovski, Mr. Safet Neziri and Mr. Erwan Fouere. Participants at the official promotion of the Foundation for Integrated Education will be the distinguished members of the management board of the Foundation, school directors and teachers.
On the event, the participants were addressed by Mr. Sasho Stojkovski, President of the Management Board of the Foundation for Integrated Education, Mr. Veton Zekolli, Director of the Foundation for Integrated Education and Mr. John Horekens, member of the Management Board of the Foundation for Integrated Education.
The Foundation for Integrated Education will support integrated education activities with the aim of preventing school segregations by offering possibilities for cooperation, socialization, communication among the students, teachers and parents from various ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds thus fostering trust and preventing violence.
