Presentation of the Nansen model for integrated education in PS “Strasho Pindzur”- Karbinci Municipality

On September 28, 2012, the NDC Skopje team organized a presentation of the project “Nansen model for integrated education” for the parents of the students within the primary school “Strasho Pindzur”- Karbinci Municipality. This presentation is a follow up of the signed agreement for cooperation between NDC Skopje and the Municipality of Karbinci and presents the initial step for the startup of the implementation of the Nansen model for integrated education within the school. The project will include the teachers, parents and the students from Macedonian and Turkish ethnic community with the goal of increasing the collaboration and integration level between the different ethnic communities.

During the presentation the parents had the chance to hear about the benefits and the acquisitions of this model of education and agreed over their children participation within the integrated extracurricular activities that are part of this project.

The agreement for cooperation between Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje and Karbinci Municipality was signed on September 20, 2012 after which the preparations for the implementation of the Nansen model for integrated education started. Currently, the teachers that will be the direct implementers of the integrated extracurricular activities are in the process of completing the basic training cycle for integrated education within NDC Skopje Training Centre where they will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully implement the annual programs for integrated extracurricular activities prepared by the team for education within NDC Skopje.
