On 19.04.2011, the President of Republic of Macedonia – Gjorgje Ivanov – has visited IBPS and IBSS in the village Preljubiste. The President has been welcomed by the teachers and professors from both schools, the Director of IBSS – Pero Gligorovski, the Director of IBPS – Burhan Ejupi, the Director of the Nansen Network on the Balkans – Steinar Bryn and the team of NDC Skopje. In honor of the President, the students from second and third grade from the primary school have prepared songs and poems in Macedonian and Albanian.

After the end of this performance, the students and teachers took joint photos with the President. After the visit to the primary school, the President has also visited IBSS, where he had an opportunity to see the facility, the classrooms and to learn more about the teaching process in IBSS. After visiting the schools, there was a joint meeting of the President with the Director of the Nansen Network on the Balkans – Steinar Bryn, the Mayor of Jegunovce Municipality – Toni Kocevski, the Executive Director of NDC Skopje and the Directors of the schools. The President has addressed the media after the visit to the schools.

“The school represents a good example how young people from their earliest age can learn the language of their neighbors, get to know each other and contribute that way to a higher degree of integration of our society”,
