In December 2018, teachers Zaharica Ilieska and Maja Miteva Petroska carried out the daily activity “Traditional Macedonian dance” from the section Get to know Macedonia as part of the Annual Program for extracurricular intercultural activities for the third grade.

In order to accomplish this activity, students danced several Macedonian traditional dances, traditional folk dances for children and various children’s music games.

The goals of the activity are cultivation of positive emotional group climate through the presentation of the children’s folk and music creations, development of a sense of rhythm during the performance of traditional folk dances and during the execution of musical instruments and also promotion of cultural identity through the identification of traditional dances and their role in different festivities.
