Official start-up of the Nansen model for integrated education in PS Bratstvo Migjeni and VSS Mosha Pijade in Tetovo

On October 27, 2014 NDC Skopje marked the official start-up of the Nansen model for integrated education in the PS Bratstvo- Migjeni and VSS Mosha Pijade in Tetovo municipality. The project will include students, parents and teachers (Macedonian and Albanian) and the goal is to increase the level of integration and cooperation.

The Minister for education and science Mr. Abdilaqim Ademi participated at the event together with the adviser and coordinator for cooperation with NDC Skopje Mr. Safet Neziri. The event brought together municipal representatives from the Tetovo municipality, representatives of the Education Inspectorate, school principals and teachers. The Nansen model for integrated education is implemented through three core programs: integrated extracurricular activities for students, capacity building programs for teachers and programs for cooperation with parents.

NDC Skopje provides the Annual programs for integrated extracurricular activities, programs for cooperation with parents, scholarships for training of teachers, didactical means and literature as well as expert and consultative support during the implementation of the Nansen model for integrated education.

The agreement for cooperation between NDC Skopje and Tetovo municipality was signed on January 23, 2014. The project will be implemented by NDC Skopje and Tetovo municipality and it is financially supported by the Norwegian MFA.
